Terms of service
Terms of Service
Last updated: 10 October 2026
Welcome to Yore House. These Terms of Service explain how we supply products through our website and the terms that apply when you shop with us.
Please read these terms alongside our Shipping Policy, Return and Refund Policy and Privacy Policy, and keep a copy for your records. Nothing in these policies limits your statutory consumer rights.
1. About Yore House
Behind Yore House is a dedicated team looking after every part of your experience, from sourcing and buying to operations and customer care. Every member of our team brings over ten years of experience in the luxury industry, along with a shared appreciation for craftsmanship, quality and thoughtful service.
We take care in selecting our pieces, describing their condition clearly and helping you find something you will love. Our aim is to make shopping for pre-loved luxury feel personal, straightforward and reassuring, with an experienced team here to help along the way.
You can contact our team at hello@yorehouse.co.uk. Our full company and contact details appear in section 15.
References to “Yore House”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean YW COLLECTIVE LTD. Your purchase contract is with us. Shopify provides the technology that powers our online store.
These terms apply to purchases through this website. Purchases through another platform may also be subject to that platform’s applicable terms.
2. Our products
We specialise in pre-owned luxury items. Unless a listing states otherwise, products have been previously owned and may show signs of age and use.
Please review the description, photographs, measurements, condition notes and included accessories before ordering. We aim to describe material wear, damage and any known alterations or repairs accurately. Packaging, dust bags, authenticity cards and other accessories are included only where stated.
Condition assessments take account of each item’s age, materials and previous use. They do not replace our obligation to supply goods that match their description and meet the quality standards required by law.
Colours may appear slightly different depending on lighting and screen settings. This does not excuse a materially inaccurate description or image.
Please contact us before purchasing if you would like clarification about an item.
3. Authenticity and brand affiliation
We sell products as authentic and are responsible for that description.
Any authentication certificate or accompanying documentation included with an item will be identified in its listing. Please contact us if you have an authenticity concern so that we can investigate and explain the next steps.
If an item we supply is found not to be authentic, we will provide an appropriate remedy, including a full refund and reasonable return costs where required by law. You do not need to purchase a third-party authentication report before raising a concern with us.
Yore House is an independent reseller. Unless expressly stated, we are not affiliated with, authorised by or sponsored by the brands whose products we sell. Brand names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
4. Orders and payment
Please check your items, delivery address and contact details before submitting an order. You must be authorised to use your chosen payment method.
By placing an order, you offer to purchase the selected products. We accept your order, and a purchase contract is formed, when we send your order confirmation email.
Available payment methods are shown at checkout. Payment is normally collected when you place your order.
Many of our products are individual pieces. Adding an item to your basket does not reserve it.
If a stock discrepancy, payment problem or material listing error affects your order, we will contact you promptly. We will not substitute an item or increase an agreed price without your agreement. If we cannot supply an item, we will refund the amount paid for it and any delivery charges relating solely to that item. Your other legal rights remain unaffected.
5. Prices and promotions
The applicable currency and total payable to us are shown before you complete your purchase. Prices include any UK taxes we are required to charge. Delivery charges, where applicable, are displayed at checkout or expressly agreed with you before payment.
Promotional offers are subject to the conditions stated when they are advertised, including any expiry dates, minimum spend or exclusions. Offers can be combined only where permitted by those conditions.
Changes to prices or promotions do not retrospectively change an order we have already accepted. Purchasing a discounted item does not reduce your statutory rights.
6. Delivery
We normally dispatch orders within 1–2 working days after payment, unless a different timeframe is stated or agreed. Working days exclude weekends and UK public holidays.
Delivery options, charges and estimated transit times are explained in our Shipping Policy and at checkout. An estimated delivery date is not a guaranteed date unless we expressly agree otherwise.
If delivery is delayed, an item is missing or a parcel arrives damaged, please contact us so that we can investigate with the carrier and provide an appropriate resolution. Our responsibility for delivery is not transferred to the carrier simply because an item has been dispatched.
Unless we agree another period with you, we will deliver within 30 days of accepting your order. Your legal rights concerning late or failed delivery remain unaffected.
Goods remain at our risk until you, or a person you nominate to receive them, takes physical possession. A different legal rule may apply if you independently appoint a carrier that we have not offered.
7. International orders
International delivery is available only to destinations we can service. Shipping costs will be displayed at checkout or confirmed with you before payment.
Unless we expressly state that they are included, you are responsible for applicable import duties, destination taxes and customs clearance charges. These are determined by the destination authorities and may be collected by the carrier.
Customs procedures can affect delivery times. Please contact us if a customs issue prevents delivery so that we can discuss the available options. This section does not remove any mandatory consumer rights that apply to your purchase.
8. Cancellation and change-of-mind returns
You may cancel your order before delivery. You may also change your mind and notify us that you wish to cancel within 14 calendar days beginning the day after you receive your goods.
If goods from one order arrive separately, the period begins the day after you receive the final item. If the last day falls on a weekend or public holiday, we extend the deadline to the next working day.
You can submit a cancellation or return request through your customer account, where the relevant option is available. You may also email hello@yorehouse.co.uk or send us another clear statement of your decision to cancel. You do not have to give a reason or use a particular form.
If an order has already been dispatched, we may be unable to stop its delivery. You can still notify us of cancellation and return the goods after they arrive.
For a change-of-mind cancellation, send the goods back within 14 days after notifying us. You are responsible for the direct return postage cost unless we agree otherwise. The return address and practical instructions are set out in our Return and Refund Policy.
9. Return condition and security checks
You may inspect an item as you reasonably would in a shop to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning.
Please keep our security tag attached while inspecting the item and return all accessories and documentation supplied with it. Avoid wearing the item beyond reasonable inspection or exposing it to perfume, smoke, cleaning products, treatments or alterations.
We check returned items against our dispatch records, including identifying features, condition photographs and security tags, to confirm that the item returned is the item supplied.
Removing a tag does not automatically cancel your statutory rights. Where handling goes beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect the item and causes a loss in value, we may make a deduction reflecting that actual loss, where permitted by law. We will explain any proposed deduction.
We do not charge a cancellation or restocking fee for exercising a statutory change-of-mind cancellation right.
10. Refunds and faulty goods
For a valid change-of-mind cancellation, we refund the relevant purchase price, subject to any lawful deduction for diminished value. If you cancel the whole order, we also refund the basic outbound delivery charge you paid. Any additional amount paid for an upgraded delivery service is not normally refundable.
Refunds are made to the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise, without a refund processing fee.
We refund without undue delay and within the applicable legal deadline. For returned goods, we may withhold reimbursement until we receive the goods or you provide evidence that you have sent them back, whichever occurs first, unless we have offered to collect them. We will not extend a legal refund deadline solely because an inspection is pending.
Your rights where goods are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to meet legal requirements are separate from the 14-day change-of-mind period. Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to a refund, repair or replacement. We will cover reasonable return costs where the law requires us to do so.
Please contact hello@yorehouse.co.uk with your order number and a description of the problem. Photographs can help us investigate, but we will consider other suitable evidence.
11. Website use and personal information
Please provide accurate information and keep access to your customer account secure. Contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.
You must not use our website for fraud, unlawful activity, uploading malicious software or interfering with its security or operation.
Our own photographs, written content and branding are protected by intellectual property rights. You may use them for personal shopping purposes; commercial reproduction requires permission from the relevant rights holder.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information.
12. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of contract or failure to exercise reasonable care and skill.
We do not exclude or limit liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Nothing in these terms removes our responsibility to supply goods that conform to the contract or limits your statutory consumer rights.
13. Questions and complaints
Please email hello@yorehouse.co.uk with your order number and details of your concern. We will investigate and work with you towards a fair resolution.
You may also write to our business correspondence address in section 15. Contacting us does not prevent you from exercising any other legal remedy available to you.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere, you retain any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence. Nothing in these terms prevents you from bringing proceedings in your local courts where the law allows.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for future purchases. The version in force when you place your order applies to that order unless a change is required by law or expressly agreed with you.
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
